This piece was handmade on the potter's wheel by Lindsey from porcelain clay.
It is glazed in my Ruby crystalline glaze which has Ruby crystals wrapping around the iridescent Ruby background with hints of white and blue that gives a multitude of depth and dimension to this piece.
- measures approx. 4.75" tall and is 3.5"w
- holds at least 12 oz.
Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process. The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece.
The mug was fired an additional time after the glaze firing in a gas kiln to create the Ruby colors. The piece is microwave and dishwasher safe, great for daily use.
