Breakout dahlia tuber.
These highly prolific flowers are a fluffy, cotton candy yellow with soft warm petals and a chipper persona to tie the whole flower together. Break Out is a large “dinner plate” size variety with a refreshing soft pink accent coloring, white highlights and a cute yellow center. While the plant stature is medium size, these homey, relaxed flowers are always an easy-going addition. These flowers benefit from pinching for longer stems.
Color: Cream Yellow to Cream Peach
Flower Size: 9”
Plant Height: 3-4'
Bloom Time: Mid Season
Planting: Your tubers can go directly into the ground in the spring when the ground has warmed and there is little chance of frost. One good guideline is to plant in the same time frame as you would a tomato. If you want blooms as early as possible, you can start the tubers indoors in good light about a month before planting time. You will then have a small plant ready at planting time. Dahlias can be planted as late as mid-June in most parts of the country.
