This listing is for one Raku horse sculpture.
The horse is number 776 in the horse series.
5.5” L x 2" W x 5.5” H.
This horse was fired in a Raku kiln to create the brilliant satin copper finish on the horse! The photos do not capture the full extent of the metallic sheen on the horse- but it is there! This horse pairs well with #788, as shown in the last image. They are sold separately.
The horse is free standing. The horse is made from clay with clay legs for the horse. There is a wire in the head and tail, but the horse is hollow. Each one is handmade so there are never two alike.
The horse was designed for some surface "cracks" to appear- these do not effect the functionality or structure of the horse. Horses have a delicate balance of strength and fragility- the raku process helps to accentuate that juxtaposition. Coming out of the fire produces "scars" on the horse, which only make its spirit stronger.
