These mugs were thrown on the potter’s wheel and altered while wet to create a swirling effect. The mugs alterations allow them to be held comfortably without using the handle (if you so choose).

The glaze is my "Galaxy Blue" color- a black vase with a deep blue that has hints of gold and white. They are made from stoneware clay were fired in an electric kiln to cone 6 (~2200 degrees F).
