In this special two hour workshop you will learn handbuilding techniques to create your very own ceramic vase. Using stamps, found objects, or flowers, you can create your own pattern on clay and transform it into a slab-built vase.

- You will create one vase, to be picked up two weeks after the workshop
- All material and firing costs are included
- You can select one color for the finished glaze color, see note below about finishing process
- One bouquet of tulips is included in workshop cost. Bouquet can be picked up the day of the workshop or upon pickup of your completed vase.
Limit of four participants per session.
Please note: After creating your vase during the workshop, you will select one color for your vase to be glazed. Your vase will go through two firings after the workshop, and will be glazed by Lindsey in your selected color. Vases will be available for pickup beginning two weeks after being created.
While there is no prior clay experience needed for this workshop, it is not designed for children. You will learn techniques necessary to create successful slab-built forms as well as a myriad of decorative possibilities.
If children under 18 wish to participate, they must have a parent or legal guardian present, and be able to follow instruction. This workshop is not recommended for children under 13 due to the listening skills necessary.
Each participant must sign a liability waiver before beginning the workshop. This can be done ahead of time online, or in person.
If you cannot return to pick up your finished piece, vases can be shipped for an additional charge.
Accessibility Information: The studio at 324 East Road is not handicapped accessible. There are 5 steps leading up into the studio. Participants will do best with a combination of sitting and standing (chairs will be provided) during the workshop.
Refund policy: Signing up for this workshop is considered a commitment. However, we understand that situations can change due to illness, personal reasons, etc. Refunds can be issued for cancellation within a 24 hour notice of the workshop time. No-shows (someone not coming to the workshop without notification) will not be refunded.
If you are feeling sick the day of the workshop, we ask that you contact us to reschedule or request a refund- we would rather you keep everyone safe than risk getting someone else sick.
Other Information: If you have allergies to clay, do not participate in this workshop. While the clay is non-toxic, it should not be ingested. People with very sensitive skin may not want to participate in this workshop. You will (most likely) get dirty during this workshop. While clay will wash off clothes and skin, it is not recommended to wear fancy clothes or jewelry during this workshop.
