The piece was made by Lindsey from stoneware clay and glaze fired to over 2200 degrees in a clear glaze on the outside with a rainbow of color inside. Real gold was hand-painted and fired onto the mug for a third firing to give accents of gold to the piggycorn. Mother of pearl overglaze was added and fired a fourth time to give the rainbow & pearlescent color to the glaze. A true rainbow effect of all the colors as light shines upon the mug. Very difficult to photograph!
