This listing is for one wallflower.
This piece was handmade from porcelain clay by Lindsey, one petal at a time. After cutting out and shaping each flower petal, they were assembled to represent a flower.
After the initial bisque firing, it was glazed with a special crystalline glaze where zinc crystals actually GROW during the firing and controlled cooling process.
The gold effect was achieved using silver nitrate in the glaze. After the initial crystalline glaze firing, it was fired again in a gas kiln to create the iridescent gold effects. It has a lot of shimmer and sparkle as the light hits the piece in different directions.
- 7.5” diameter
- overall height of just about 2.75” (how far it sticks out from the wall).
To hang, you simply need a nail or screw inserted at an upward angle into the wall and rest the flower on the nail.
