This piece was handmade on the potter's wheel by Lindsey from porcelain clay. It is glazed with a light blue crystalline glaze with crystals wrapping around the vase that gives a multitude of depth and dimension to this piece. It has light blue crystals on light blue/teal background with a blue and white interior.
The shape of the vase was designed to hold a bulb, such as a paperwhite or hyacinth, for winter forced blooms. It can also serve as a regular flower vase.

Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process. The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece.
