This tray was hand-made from porcelain clay with a unique, organic shape. Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The zinc crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process. The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece.

It is glazed in a periwinkle color, with light purple crystals and a periwinkle background. Where the glaze pools in the center, there is a deeper color with the accumulation of glaze & crystals that sometimes form a crackle pattern. Truly one of a kind! The tray would work well to hold your favorite precious items, snacks or small appetizers.
