In this special 90 minute workshop you will learn the basics of digging, dividing, and storage methods for dahlia tubers.

In this workshop you will:
- Receive a full demonstration on how to properly dig a club of dahlia tubers, wash them, learn to divide, and methods of storage
- Have hands-on experience digging a clump, washing it off, and dividing the clump
- Take home all the tubers you divide during the workshop (generally 5-15 tubers, a $50-$150 value!)
- Not need any tools, everything will be provided
What to wear/bring:
- You will get wet and dirty. Wear appropriate waterproof footware/clothing
- Gloves, if you prefer to wear gloves
- Drinks or snacks, if desired
Limit of six participants per session.
While no experience is needed for this workshop, it is not designed for children. Participants must be over 18 years old to participate. Participants will be working in the dirt, with water, and sharp objects.
Each participant must sign a liability waiver before beginning the workshop. This can be done ahead of time online, or in person.
Accessibility Information: The studio at 324 East Road is not handicapped accessible. There are 5 steps leading up into the studio. Participants will do best with a combination of sitting and standing (chairs will be provided) during the workshop.
Refund policy: Signing up for this workshop is considered a commitment. However, we understand that situations can change due to illness, personal reasons, etc. Refunds can be issued for cancellation within a 48 hour notice of the workshop time. No-shows (someone not coming to the workshop without notification) will not be refunded.
If you are feeling sick the day of the workshop, we ask that you contact us to reschedule or request a refund- we would rather you keep everyone safe than risk getting someone else sick.
Other Information: If you have allergies to dirt, bleach (used for sanitizing tools), or other outdoor allergens, this may not be the workshop for you. You will (most likely) get dirty during this workshop. Please be prepared to get wet/dirty while digging and washing tubers. Waterproof gear is recommended.
This event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, the workshop may be canceled by the host with an option for a refund or rescheduling.
