The piece has lovely golden zinc crystals on a gold, yellow and white background. These crystals actually GROW during the firing and cooling process! No two pieces are ever alike. The gold crystals have a silver shimmer and dance about background. The colors change as the piece has direct light on it.
This pitcher was handmade on the potters wheel from porcelain clay by Lindsey and fired to over 2300 F in an electric kiln. It was fired a third time in a gas kiln to create the ruby colors and iridescent shine. No two are ever alike!
