This piece was handmade on the potter's wheel by Lindsey from porcelain clay. It is glazed with a deep aqua/blue-green crystalline glaze with silvery blue crystals wrapping around the jar that gives a multitude of depth and dimension to this piece.
- 9.75" tall x 6" at the widest point
- 3.25" opening without lid on
- 7" tall without lid on
It has silvery blue crystals on deep blue/teal background with and a white interior. The lid of the jar has a few juicy drips of glaze, frozen in time, coming from the bottom edge of the lid. Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process. The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece.
