This listing is for one crystalline glazed jar.
This jar was hand-made from porcelain clay on the potter's wheel. Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The zinc crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process. The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece.

The glaze on this jar has areas of deep jade/emerald green on the background with silvery-green crystals. The depth and dimension in the glaze are quite stunning- the crystals seem to move and dance about the surface of the jar as the light hits it. This color is very difficult to photograph as it is very reflective! It looks much brighter in direct light.
You can sit for hours looking at the jar, finding new patterns and designs that the crystals have created during their growing process.
