This mug was handmade on the potter's wheel by Lindsey from stoneware clay into the stein shape. A sea turtle was hand-painted on the mug while the clay was in a "leather hard" stage. After the initial bisque firing it was glaze fired with my sunshine yellow glaze and white on the inside and flowing over the outside of the mug. The rest of the mug is a creamy buff color to highlight the design.
