'Tulipware' is a new line of work from the studio, celebrating the joy of spring and tulip season. After being thrown on the potter's wheel by Lindsey, the piece was trimmed and dried to the 'leather hard' stage. After that, the tulip designs were hand-painted with black underglaze. After the initial bisque firing, the piece was painted again with colored underglaze to complete the design, and fired again. After that firing, the piece was glazed with a clear glaze and fired once more to over 2200 degrees Fahrenheit.
The bowl is microwave and dishwasher safe, so when you're finished with your bowl, it can go right in the dishwasher for easy clean up. Great for soup, salad, cereal, ice cream...you name it!
