This piece was hand made on the potter’s wheel from porcelain clay by Lindsey.
- 9.5” tall and approx. 5” diameter at its widest point.
The vase has silvery green colored crystals on an emerald green satiny matte crackly background with hints of teal and white at the top. The crystals you see on the vase are actual zinc crystals that were formed during the firing! They have a copper halo around each crystal which adds depth and dimension.
Due to the unique nature of crystalline glazes, no two pieces are ever alike. The crystals are actually grown during the firing and cooling process (which reaches over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit). The time and temperature must be accurate in order to achieve crystal growth on the piece.
